Position Summary:
The Lead Program Director is responsible for the supervision and direction of the Program Directors. This position assists the Program Service Director with ensuring quality care for persons served while maintaining compliance with state regulations. The LPD assures that Policies and Procedures for persons served and the Organization's Policies and Procedures are being implemented and followed. Provides on call support and rotation as required.

Essential Duties:
All duties to be performed according to the established standard and in compliance with all company policies and procedures while maintaining regular, prompt attendance:

Provide direction and support to Program Directors to address and problem solve issues encountered in the homes/programs to ensure quality care and support.

Oversee, train and support the Program Directors to ensure that the programs and services are operating in compliance with state regulations and organization policies.

Assist the Program Services Director with overseeing changes in regulations governing the programs and develop or modify policies and procedures for persons served as needed.

Respond and make corrections to all licensing citations and correction orders to maintain licensing compliance.

Provide leadership to the Program Directors through conducting team meetings, monitoring work, and managing and developing employees and performance.

Provide support to Program Directors on employee relations and performance issues.

Provide coverage for the Program Directors when they are on leave or when there is a vacant Program Director position.

Monitor person centered support plans, assuring that steps are taken to meet expectations of persons served while promoting growth through review of programs and care plans of persons served.

Review and analyze persons served reports and provide the Program Services Director with monthly reports and updates.

Assist the Program Services Director with the sustainability and growth of current programs and services.

Assist the Program Services Director with the strategic development and implementation of new programs.

Assist the Program Services Director with ensuring that the programs and service maintain budgetary compliance.

Assist with intakes of referrals, scheduling of tours and admission of new persons served to maintain or grow the programs and services.

Other Duties:

Communicate openly and frequently with other departments.

Assist the Program Services Director with persons served rates and rate exception requests.

Keep OMI spreadsheet of persons served and site/program information updated.

Assist the Program Services Director with the financial aspects of persons served.

Fill-in for supervisor while they are absent and participate in the on-call system.

Professionally represent the Organization and department or sites to current employees, volunteers, vendors, and community.

Participate in Organization events and activities

Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Observe all company policies, rules, and safety practices.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Education:
Preferred: A baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services.
Required: 5 years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older.
Must be competent to perform the duties as required and minimally meet the education and training requirements identified in MN Statute 245D, and have a minmimu of three years of supervisory level experience in a program that provides care or education to vulnerable adults or children.

Obtain and maintain acceptable clearance of the DHS Background Study.

Obtain and maintain OMI Medication Administration certificate within 60 days of hire.

Valud U.S. Class D Driver's License with acceptable record under insurance guedelines.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Supervisors, Directors, clients, customers, and the general public. Read, Write, and Speak English fluently.

Reasoning ability to solve practical problems, deal with a variety of variables in situations, interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, or schedule form.

Ability to understand why appropriate food preparation and handling needs to be done and ensure it happens in the sites and programs for the persons served.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
The work environment may be slow or fast paced, depending on what is happening in the site/program/home of persons served. This is an environment of constantly working with others. The noise level is generally moderate but can be loud.

Regularly lift up to 20lbs. and occasionally lift and move up to 50lbs. to waist height unaccompanied,

Alternate sitting and standing and walking for duration of shift.

Frequently required to walk, stand, bend, twist, or stoop.

Frequently apply coordinated use of hands and fingers to grasp, feel objects, transfer small items from one hand to another, fine manipulation, and bilateral reach with arms.

Use of close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Pay and Benefits
Starting pay range for this salaried exempt position is $65,000 to $75,000.
